Ernie Avellana

Ernie's Letter to Parents

Ernie was born in Quezon City in 1966, and grew up in the Chicago area. A proud Purdue graduate in 1989 from the School of Science (degrees in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Computer Science), Ernie has been a member of Acacia since 1985.

He spent his career at Eli Lilly & Company with assignments in Sales, Sales Management, General Management, and Research.

In 2019, he launched his second career in the development office at the Purdue Polytechnic Institute where he now serves as the Chief Development Officer for the college.

Ernie's favorite hobbies are hiking, golf, carpentry, and reading non-fiction books. When he travels, the focus is mostly food.

Jared Young

Jared served as Venerable Dean during the 2023-2024 period at Purdue Acacia and maintained a 4.0 GPA academically.

Jared is completing his graduate studies in Purdue's School of Veterinary Medicine.

As a continuing student and a former chapter leader he offers positive role modeling and mentoring to Acacia's members.
